Obama speaks to parents
During an address to a Joint Session of Congress, Obama said the following during his discussion of education policies:
"In the end, there is no program or policy that can substitute for a mother or father who will attend those parent/teacher conferences, or help with homework after dinner, or turn off the TV, put away the video games, and read to their child. I speak to you not just as a president, but as a father when I say that responsibility for our children's education must begin at home."
Personally, I don't think he's speaking out against video games, I think he's speaking out against bad parents. The ones who need to be parents. Buying your kid an Xbox ≠ Love.

Microsoft opens it's own line of retail stores!
Finally! Microsoft opens some stores up to the hordes of disappointed customers they've accumulated! In these stores they'll allow you to try out Windows 7, as well as a multitude of other hardware. Also they'll likely have a ripoff of the Genius Bar that apple store goers have come to enjoy.

Google power
Google's new power service "Google Power Meter" will allow people to measure their power consumption in real time. To get access to this crazy information, you need some contraption called a smart meter. There are 40 million smart meters now, and they want to add another 100 million in the next few years. I've never heard of one before, but clearly Google has.
